Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam.
If you use Gravatar, an anonymized string (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check for a profile. After approval, your profile picture may be visible next to your comment. Read Gravatar’s privacy policy here.
Media
If you upload images to the website, avoid including location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract that data from your uploaded files.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may choose to save your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience. These last one year.
When you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to test if your browser accepts cookies. No personal data is stored in it. It’s deleted when you close your browser.
If you log in, several cookies are created to store your login and screen settings. Login cookies last for two days, display preference cookies for one year. If you choose “Remember Me”, your login stays for two weeks. Logging out deletes login cookies.
Editing or publishing a post sets an additional cookie with the article ID. It expires after one day.

Who We Share Your Data With
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How Long We Keep Your Data
If you leave a comment, we store it and its metadata indefinitely. This allows us to auto-approve follow-up comments instead of holding them for moderation.
For users who register on our site (if available), we store the personal info provided in their user profile. You can view, edit, or delete your data at any time (except your username). Website admins can also access and edit this data.
Your Data Rights
If you have an account or have left comments, you can request a copy of your personal data or ask us to delete it.
This excludes data we’re required to retain for legal, administrative, or security purposes.
Where Your Data Is Sent
Visitor comments may be scanned by an automated spam detection tool.
